Description: | It is a requirement of The Government of The Bahamas that all boats/skis to be used commercially must be registered. The registration process at the Port Department is one designed to assist the boat owners in getting their licences in an efficient manner. |

It should be noted that the water sports industry in The Bahamas is strictly for Bahamians only. |

A valid form of photo identification (i.e. Passport, Voters Card, etc.)
| A business licence
| Proof of ownership of the boat (i.e. Bill of Sale, Charter Contract, etc.) | A valid insurance certificate

Instructions: |
1. | To register for a Commercial Licence the applicant must fill out and submit an application form to the Port Department Office on New Providence or any of the other Port Department offices listed below.
| 2. | The applicant would be scheduled to go before the New Providence Port Authority Board (NPPAB) for consideration. | 3. | If approval is granted, the applicant must provide all supporting documents and pay the appropriate Boat Registration and Inspection Fees.
| 4. | The boat MUST then be inspected by a Port Department Inspector.
| 5. | Once approval is granted by the Inspector, the Commercial Licence is issued.

Boats under 15 feet in length $30.00
Boats 15 feet or over and under 25 feet in length $50.00
Boats 25 feet or over and under 50 in length $100.00
Boats 50 feet or over and under 100 feet in length $200.00
Boats 100 feet or over in length $400.00
Boats 100 feet or over in length $10.00
Duplicate certificate $10.00
Inspection Fees
Boats under 15 feet in length $20.00
Boats 15 feet or over and under 25 feet in length $30.00
Boats 25 feet or over and under 50 in length $30.00
Boats 50 feet or over and under 100 feet in length $60.00
Boats 100 feet or over in length $80.00
