Food Testing is a service provided by the Department of Marine Resources which can be accessed by seafood exporters and local food producers and processors. Food testing ensures that exported seafood meets the specified standards of the receiving country and that food products produced locally satisfy the required public health requirements. Food testing also provides important nutritional data.

Completed Product Sample Form.
A Valid Business Licence.
|2.||Complete the relevant application form.|
|3.||Submit the completed form and the required supporting documents to the Food Safety and Technology Laboratory.|
|4.||Pay required fee.|
|5.||In the Family Islands:|
|6.||Family Island exporter sends a letter requesting an inspection to the Department of Marine Resources.|
|7.||Inspection officer travels to the Family Island and proceeds with inspection. |
|8.||Successful inspection results in Family Island exporter receiving their Certificate of Inspection (COI)|
The fee is determined by the amount and type of analysis requested by the Applicant.
