Opening a Savings Account - Personal Info Form
All citizens and businesses can open a savings account at the Bahamas Post Offices. The Savings bank at the Post Office is a thrift bank as opposed to a commercial bank.
|Applicant must be 12 years or older.
|Children under 12 years of age must have a Trustee.
|Declaration by Depositor (Depositor Book) form must be filled out in conjunction with the Personal Information Form|
|Completed application forms.
|Valid Passport or Driver’s Licence or School ID.
|National Insurance Card.
|1.||Visit the Post Office.
|2.||Complete the following forms|
a. Depositor’s Book.
b. Post Office Savings Bank Personal Information Update Form.
|3.||Submit completed application forms along with relevant supporting documents.
|4.||Deposit at least BS$3.00 to the account.
|5.||The Clerk at the Bank will issue a Pass Book.
There are no fees for this service.
