Description:

Applying for a Master's licence as required under the Boat Regisration Act 1961 in order to become a boat captain.

Person must pass the Master's Licence Examination (theory) and complete the Master's Licence Assessment and Certification (practical)

Prerequisite:

Applicant must successfully pass both the theory and practical examinations

Attachments:

Application submitted with:
  1. Prescribed Fee
  2. Annual Medical
  3. Police Character Reference (6 month validity)
  4. Proof of Bahamian Status
  5. STWC Certificate
  6. N.I.B. Number

Instructions:

1.
Submit Application with attachments.
2.
Application is stamped and its submission date recorded in register by Port personnel.
Registration number granted (Chairman of Authority/Deputy Chairman or designate)
3.
Applicant signs Port Authority Manual Register
4.
Application Advertised
5.
Application Submitted to Chairman for Determination with

$50.00 A Class $30.00 B Class
